Breast Cancer Awareness Liv Breast Self-Exam Kit

Breast cancer is now the most common cancer in the UK and around 46,000 new cases are diagnosed every year. The good news is that the death rate for women with breast cancer has fallen by almost a fifth over the last decade. Thanks to improved detection and better treatments, more people are beating breast cancer than ever before and now 8 out of 10 female breast cancer patients survive their disease beyond five years (Cancer Research UK).

Breast cancer "thriver" Olivia Newton-John developed the Liv Aid kit to help women detect small changes in their breasts.  These can then be checked out by medical professionals to see if you need treatment. The earlier breast cancer is diagnosed, the higher a woman’s chance of survival, so regular self-examination is an important part of healthy living.

The Liv is a self-examination aid that is designed to help women examine their breast tissue. It moulds to the skin and provides a smooth surface for the fingers to easily glide over the breast tissue. At only £11.32 it’s a wise investment.
